Excepting rifling marks and a small amount of
perfectly clean bullet lube, the cleaning patch
came out indistinguishable from when it went in !
Let me repeat, there was zero detectable

BLACK MAG3® is the tried and true proven energy
producing powder. The search for black powder substitutes
dates back to the 19th century. The search continues with the
focus on finding a safer, cleaner substitute offering improved
performance. In the area of safety, the primary considerations
are resistance to impact, friction and static electricity.
These variables affect the safety for manufacturing, shipping
and handling of the product. Black Mag3® is Safer to handle
and transport than black powder and forms considerably less
residue, with that residue being both water-soluble and non-corrosive.
Heat Of Combustion
Refers to the energy content of the powder.
Black Mag3® contains significantly more energy,
on a weight basis, than black-powder.
Residue On Combustion
Black Mag3® residue is vaporized at the temperature of the combustion. Black Mag3® does not contain any sulfur. The solid products of combustion of Black Mag3® are in vapor state at the temperature of burning and, as it cools, the vapor condenses-out to form a cloud of white smoke. All available data indicated that Black Mag3® is non-corrosive.
